Vintage V880AQ Historic (2019)

The Vintage V880AQ Historic belongs to the Historic series of the British manufacturer Vintage Guitars and is acoustically and visually based on classic American parlor guitars in the style of the Gibson L-1 – compact, resonant, and with an unmistakable vintage character. The neck-to-body joint at the 12th fret is characteristic of this type of guitar and provides more resonance volume in front of the soundhole, which results in a warm, bass-rich fundamental tone and soft tonal response.
The Antique Finish (AQ) gives the guitar a slightly tinted look that emphasizes its vintage character. The instrument is in excellent condition – practically new, with no significant signs of wear. A good choice for blues, folk, and fingerstyle – or as a sofa guitar with real character.

Materials and Construction

• Top – Sitka Spruce: Balanced frequency spectrum with good dynamics. In combination with the compact parlor body, this creates a focused, direct sound with natural warmth.
• Body – Mahogany: Typical for the L-1 style: Mid-range prominent, not overly bright high-end – ideal for blues picking and acoustic fingerstyle arrangements.
• 12-Fret Construction: Larger soundbox in front of the soundhole than 14-fret models – more bass volume, smoother tonal transition, characteristic vintage sound.
• Antique Finish (AQ): Slightly tinted high-gloss finish in vintage style.
