The 37 Series by Alister Atkin stands for carefully selected materials and, of course, artisanal precision: Baked Sitka Spruce, Indian Rosewood, Ebony, and the characteristic herringbone purfling make this guitar a classic high-end instrument for lovers of dynamic playing. Very responsive and resonant in tone, rather full and softly tuned with a full scale length, and with a great feel to the neck for easier fretting (Rounded C-shape).

The Atkin 00037S is closely modeled after legendary pre-war models, revered by countless players to this day. The 12-fret construction also offers three crucial advantages here:

• The bridge is closer to the center of the lower soundboard section and can vibrate more freely—this noticeably changes tone and sustain.
• The shorter, stiffer neck transfers more string energy to the soundboard.
• And the nut is closer to the player's body, allowing for a comfortable playing position.
