Solidly built and sonically far beyond its price range, the Stanford Furch RD5 Vintage can compete with much more expensive instruments. Beautiful used condition with minor signs of play. The RD5 Vintage Slope Shoulder Dreadnought from 2010 is among the later examples of a guitar that was produced in small numbers by Furch in the Czech Republic for about ten years. As part of Furch's renowned Vintage series, it combines craftsmanship with a characteristic Vintage Toner finish – in this vintage somewhat darker than in earlier models. Herringbone purfling adds an elegant visual accent. Comes in a vintage case.

Material and Construction

  • Top – Solid Sitka Spruce with Vintage Finish: Provides the classic, balanced Dreadnought sound with plenty of projection and dynamics – the Vintage Toner finish gives it a warm, matured character.
  • Back & Sides – Solid Indian Rosewood: Gives the guitar depth, clarity, and that characteristic warmth that makes solid instruments so desirable.
  • Neck – Mahogany, Comfort-Shape Profile: The comfortable Comfort-Shape profile fits well in the hand. Ebony fretboard and bridge ensure precise response and sustain.
  • Nut & Saddle made of bone: optimal vibration transmission for maximum tone and sustain.
