Stanford Furch RD5 Vintage (2008)

The 2008 Stanford Furch RD5 Vintage Slope Shoulder Dreadnought is one of the rare examples of a guitar that was produced in small numbers for only about ten years. As part of Furch's renowned Vintage series, it combines Czech craftsmanship with a distinctive vintage-toner finish and wonderful herringbone purfling.
Solidly built and sonically far beyond its price range, the RD5 Vintage can compete with significantly more expensive instruments. Comes in a vintage case.

Materials and Construction

• Top – Solid Sitka Spruce with Vintage Finish: Provides the classic, balanced dreadnought sound with plenty of projection and dynamics – the vintage-toner finish gives it a warm, matured character.
• Back & Sides – Solid Indian Rosewood: Gives the guitar depth, clarity, and that characteristic warmth that makes solid wood instruments so sought after.
• Neck – Mahogany, Comfort-Shape Profile: The comfortable Comfort-Shape profile fits well in the hand. Ebony fingerboard and bridge ensure precise response and sustain.
