For Dermot McIlroy, TF stands for “Twelfth Fret,” meaning that the guitar's neck, like all our guitars, joins the body at the 12th fret. The size is that of the AS series. Here, with the combination of redwood and English walnut, which unfortunately will soon no longer be available, a very fine instrument is coming to us that fingerpickers and blues players rarely see and should definitely keep an eye on.
Materials and Construction
- Redwood & Walnut: The solid redwood top, similar to cedar, provides high dynamics and fast articulation. The back and sides made of English walnut deliver classic warmth, mids, and depth – a McIlroy specialty.
- Neck: Three-piece mahogany, combined with the ebony fretboard for wonderful stability and playability.
- Feel: With a scale length of 650 mm and a nut width of 45 mm, the guitar offers plenty of room for precise playing.
